What you will be up to

The first day you will be met at the airport by your trip leader, who is there to make sure that you have a wonderful trip in Mexico. You will go to the Selina hotel in Mexico City, which is located in the heart of the city, depending on the arrival time there will be a walking tour in the historic center. A meeting will be held with the team to review the next ten days of travel.

After a fabulous breakfast at our hotel, we’ll give you a guided tour of the ancient city and UNESCO World Heritage site, Teotihuacán (the place where the gods were created).
After checking in at our hotel for this evening at the “Center Hotel” of San Juan Teotihuacan, we partake in a bike tour through the Valley of Teotihuacan and its hidden gems, like workshops run by local families and natural volcanic caves. This evening we are treated to a Spiritual Mexican ceremony at Temazcal.
We’ll enjoy a late evening meal before turning in for the night.

After breakfast, we check out of our hotel bound for adventure! We enter the Izta-Popo Zoquiapan National Park, where your knowledgeable guide team will give you some instructions and we’ll all prepare our backpacks ready for our hike.
Around midday, we set off towards our base camp (4720 m/15485 ft) where we’ll set up our home for the night. After dinner we’ll have the chance to chat about our adventure to the top of the volcano tomorrow.

Early start this morning with breakfast at 1am. Last technical instructions before we start our journey for the summit at 2am. All going well we’ll summit  (5216 m/17112 ft).
the Iztaccihuatl Volcano, the third highest mountain in Mexico around 9am.
After taking in our view and achievement we’ll descend and take in the drive to Puebla and check-in at the Suite Sevilla Hotel.

A day of rest folks. You’ve earned it. You will have a rest day in the beautiful city of Puebla, to prepare to ascend the highest mountain in Mexico; the Pico de Orizaba, the next day. For those who like it, there will be a short historical tour through the center of Puebla.

Good morning. Ready for some fun? We check out of our hotel and enjoy breakfast in San Miguel Zoapan. From here we take 4×4 transport to our base camp “Piedra Grande” (4250 m/13943 ft). Here the technical instructions will be given and the backpacks will be prepared with the necessary mountain equipment. Early afternoon, we’ll set up our home for the night and take a short acclimatization hike.
After dinner, early to bed ready for our summit tomorrow.

An early start again for breakfast and the last technical instructions. We start our summit attempt at 2am to the Pico de Orizaba Volcano (5610 m/18405 ft), the highest mountain in Mexico and the third highest in North America. Nice work team! Take in the views and we’ll have a late lunch and arrive in the evening to Oaxaca and check-in at the Selina Hotel.

After seven days of non-stop extreme adventures, you will have a rest day in the amazing city of Oaxaca, to prepare to the last adventure in the magic of Sierra Norte forests.
For those who would like to, there will be a short historical tour through the center of Oaxaca.

We’ll check-out of the Selina Hotel and take a short drive to have breakfast in the town of Cuajimoloyas, one of the mountain communities located at the highest altitude in Oaxacan.
Late morning we’ll start our hiking tour. We will visit the “Ojito de Agua” and the Coyote Canyon, here you will admire its amazing caves, you can also observe the splendid mountain landscape from its viewpoints.
Late afternoon we hike to the Yaa-cuetzi viewpoint before enjoying dinner and our cabin accommodation.

We’ll take a spectacular morning hike to see our last sunrise in Mexico. Breakfast in the town of Llano Grande before we start our hiking tour along the “El Pinovete” path.
We will find a 30-meter waterfall that will relax your senses with the sound of the water and the song of the goldfinches. Workshop run by a local family to learn how to make the traditional bread. More activities and Lunch depending on the time of your return flight. Farewell to Mexico at the Oaxaca international airport.
