Embark on the adventure of a lifetime with our Mount Kilimanjaro trek and Tanzanian safari tour — a two-part journey that showcases the very best of East Africa. You’ll start your trip in the vibrant towns of northern Tanzania before trekking to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak on the continent and one of the legendary Seven Summits.
Standing at 19,340 feet, Kilimanjaro is known as the “Roof of Africa”, and we climb it via the scenic and less-travelled Rongai Route. This trail offers changing landscapes, fewer crowds, and incredible views of Mawenzi Peak, Kibo Peak, and the striking equatorial glaciers along the summit ridge.
You’ll be immersed not just in nature, but in the warmth and culture of Tanzanian communities — sharing stories with local guides, enjoying traditional dishes, and experiencing the rhythm of life on the mountain.
After summiting Kilimanjaro, the adventure continues with a Tanzania wildlife safari across iconic landscapes — from the Serengeti Plains to Ngorongoro Crater. Here, you’ll witness the Big Five and countless other species in their natural habitat: lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and more.
Along the way, we’ll also explore the region’s rich cultural heritage, meeting hunter-gatherer tribes and gaining insight into local traditions that stretch back generations.
Upon arrival, our team will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. After settling in, we’ll meet for an orientation briefing and dinner. Hydrate, eat well, and get plenty of rest ahead of your trek.
We’ll begin the day with a hearty Tanzanian breakfast before exploring the local area. This day supports acclimatization while immersing us in local culture and daily life. In the evening, we gather for a detailed trek briefing.
We drive to Marangu Gate to register, then continue to Nale Moru where our trek begins. Expect a scenic hike through montane forest, with possible sightings of colobus monkeys and exotic birds.
Today we ascend gradually toward Second Cave and then press on to Kikelewa Camp. Enjoy expansive views of Kibo and the Eastern Icefields.
A shorter hike but steeper terrain today as we make our way to the stunning alpine cirque of Mawenzi Tarn, located beneath the jagged spires of Mawenzi Peak. Optional afternoon acclimatization hike.
